Primary FRCA teaching is mainly organised and delivered on a local hospital basis. Please contact your hospial Training Programme Director (TPD) if you need more information on local teaching.
Final FRCA teaching is delivered on a regional basis, and compromises a full day of teaching once a month. The delivery of the teaching typically rotates around the hospitals in the region, and can be either face to face or online, depending on the host organisation's preference.
Post-primary core trainees and non-training anaesthetists interested in attending the teaching should contact Zoe Huish in order to be added to the mailing list.
A timetable for the teaching dates this year can be found below.
Additionally, the Birmingham Children's Hospital run an annual teaching day. The date of the next BCH teaching day is the 9th April 2025.
Post-FRCA Teaching is held on the last Tuesday of every month as a hybrid Teams/face-to-face session and is organised by the Education Team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. It is open to all trainees and non-consultant grade doctors who have passed their full FRCA within the West Midlands Deanery.
Teaching is run through the Post-FRCA Teaching Teams Channel:
