Dr Frances Lay

Frances graduated from Birmingham Medical School in 2010 and completed all of her anaesthetic training in the Birmingham School. She started as a consultant at Russels Hall in February 2020. Her clinical interests include anaesthesia for Vascular surgery and Peri-operative Medicine. She also does regular session in Emergency theatres.

She has been involved with education since taking up her consultant post and has held the role of Undergraduate 4^th year lead at RHH for over 2 years. She also plays an active role in provision of anaesthetic teaching both at an undergraduate level and postgraduate level within the department.

She was appointed College Tutor in December 2022 and will continue to ensure provision of excellent support and training for those trainees rotating to Russells Hall in the future.
