Dr James Burns

James graduated at the University of Birmingham and completed his anaesthetic training in the Birmingham School of Anaesthesia.  

He was appointed as a consultant at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals in 2017 and has previous experience as an educational supervisor.  He was appointed BSA college tutor in August 2021. 

James’ most regular lists are in obstetric anaesthesia, trauma anaesthesia, and he has an interest in regional anaesthesia.
