Dr Jane Pilsbury

Jane graduated from The University of Birmingham Medical
School and then underwent her anaesthetic training in both
the Mersey and Birmingham Schools of Anaesthesia. She is a
Consultant at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital but undertakes
the majority of her clinical duties at Birmingham Women’s
Hospital where she specialises in anaesthesia for obstetrics
and gynaecology.

Jane has a strong interest in education and training, and has
acted as the Anaesthetic Consultant Lead for Less-than-full-
time Training at the QEH for a number of years. She is also a
Green Anaesthesia Champion and sits on the UHB
Sustainability Committee as the Anaesthetic Representative.
Outside work Jane is a keen middle and long-distance runner.
